Obituary
Carole Hensher died on October 20, 2014, a victim of pancreatic cancer. Her funeral was attended by a large number of people from across the art world. In an indication of the significance of her work and the respect in which it was held, The Independent published a full-page illustrated obituary on January 17, 2015.

Memorial shows
The Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers and Southbank Printmakers both paid tribute to Carole Hensher with displays of her work in Central London. Details are on the Shows page.

Printmakers' Bible New publication
Carole Hensher's work has been used to illustrate the photolithography section of The Printmakers' Bible (Megan Fishpool & Colin Gale / Bloomsbury Publishing). The front cover (shown right) features her lithograph, Shiny Shoes. Link.

Summer in the City - A joint exhibition of work by members of the Royal Watercolour Society and the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers at the Bankside Gallery 48 Hopton Street (next to Tate Modern), London SE1 9JH Tel 020 7928 7521 ran throughout August, 2008. The Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers' Annual Exhibition

Work by Carole Hensher was shown at the Society's prestigious annual show at Bankside Gallery, 48 Hopton Street (next to Tate Modern), London SE1 9JH Tel 020 7928 7521. May 1 - June 1, 2008.


The London Original Print Fair Work by Carole Hensher was exhibited by the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers at the Royal Academy's London Original Print Fair in April, 2008.


AAF Spring Collection An image by Carole Hensher was used in the publicity for the Affordable Art Fair Spring Collection (Battersea Park, London, March 2008) and her 3D work, Glove Cushion, was selected for display in the entrance hall of the exhibition.

A Leaf from a Sketchbook An exhibition of finished and preparatory work by members of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers and the Royal Watercolour Society at London's Bankside Gallery showed sketches and completed 3D work by Carole Hensher. 2007.

Election to RE On June 3rd 2007, Carole Hensher was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers (RE).

How do I look? An exhibition, devoted exclusively to work by Carole Hensher and featuring prints, paintings and 3D pieces, ran from March 26th to April 21st 2007 at the Paul McPherson Gallery, Greenwich. For image see Shows.

Italian exhibition A Milan Gallery selected items by Carole Hensher for an April exhibition featuring work by British artists. Her work is now on regular sale at the Wannabee Gallery, via Goito 3, Zona Brera, 20121 Milan, Italy.

Carole Hensher exhibited with the Triangle Group at the Affordable Art Fair, Battersea Park, in March 2007.

Carole Hensher was a Featured Artist at Originals 07 - the Contemporary Printmaking Show, at the Mall Galleries, The Mall, London, where she gave a talk (click for details) about her work on February 18th 2007.

A solo exhibition of prints and fabric constructions by Carole Hensher took place in November 2006 at the Hepsibah Gallery in the Brackenbury Village area of West London. For image see Shows.

"Behind Closed Doors", a profile by Carole Hensher of the artist Marcelle Hanselaar ARE, was published in the Autumn 2006 issue of the magazine Printmaking Today.

Originals 06 - Carole Hensher was a featured artist at the prestigious Originals 06 exhibition at the Mall Galleries opened by Sir Peter Blake on February 14th 2006. One of the artist's prints on show also appeared in the publicity for the event. Click for info and brochure image.

Carole Hensher was elected an Associate of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers (ARE) in February 2005.
